“What about?” he said. “I forget,” she said. “Something real sad on television.” “What was it?” he said. “It’s all kind of mixed up in my mind,” said Hazel. “Forget sad things,” said George. “I always do,” said Hazel.
This was the first short story I read in middle school that I truly understood satire. I had a dream about this recently, it urged me to revisit. Reality is but a manifestation of make believe, and I’m always laughing.
